My first post on NPN. . .

I like the color saturation, texture, and forms of this shot.

Pentax K20D, DA 35mm Ltd. Macro,1/45 @ f 9.5, ISO 400, Sigma closeup ring flash, minor retouch in Lightroom and CS3.

All feedback appreciated.
Thanks

Michael,

I really like the abstract quality to this, the light and the textures. Excellent work. Welcome to the gallery. I'm looking forward to seeing more images.

Wow! This is the kinda stuff I really like. Textures galore. The color hues and transitions are rich. This would be a delight to see in 20" x 30" hanging on a wall in window light. (...surprised this is not getting more umpf...) Keep 'em comin.

Michael: Welcome to NPN and to the finest Flora gallery on the planet. Please pardon my tardy greetings. I've been playing grandpa the past several days and somehow those little folk grabbed all my attentions. This is excellent for the reasons you cited. You've set a high standard for yourself with this shot and I'm looking forward to more. Great to have you aboard. :wavey: >=))>

Bill et al.
Thank you for the kind words and warm welcome.

Each of these galleries are quite a visual feast. I especially like how creative and non-formulaic much of the art is. That is very inspirational.

One of my photo-related new year's resolutions is to improve my shooting and communication skills by getting involved in a more discerning environment for receiving--and providing--feedback. Early indications are that this may be one of the few resolutions I'll achieve.
