Superb light, and that gnarled log in the foreground is awesome. Nothing here that i can really nit pick. Nicely seen and captured

Hi Doug,

I hope you are having a wonderful holiday season. I like this image a lot. The colors look nice and it is a beautiful summer scene with soft, directional lighting that definitely screams backpacking. My only small nit is that diagonal branch jutting in from the right side of the image. For me, its distracting and I'd consider cloning it out if you have the time. Thanks so much for sharing. I really enjoy your work. Michael

Beautiful all around, from reflection to clouds to light. Its hard to say for sure without seeing it in action, but the foreground seems a bit warm...perhaps a slightly cooler color balance could offset that

Beautiful light and composition Doug. Very sharp with great depth of field. This must have been a great scene to watch unfold. I love Montana and this just makes me miss the beautiful landscape there all the more.

Very well composed, Doug, and the balance of light is perfect. This looks totally natural, though a little flat. There are some great colors going on here and my preference would be to saturate them a bit more. That's personal though, and I can still enjoy this as is.
