Splish Splash

This is a big crop of an image I shot at a newly discovered crystal clear stream, complete with several stepped falls. Posted an original version in M&N, but cropped this down to an abstract to show just the water. Like the colors and the textures... may be a bit bright on the LLC, tried to play with contrast and brightness to get it correct. Suggest a look at the larger image. ISO-80, 1/80th sec., at f-6.3. Thanks for any C&C!

I like the lines and contrasts here, and the somewhat fast exposure for nice splash detail. At f/6.3 the dof is somewhat shallow, might have preferred more depth here. Overall, very nice!

This looks like it could really be sweet with a slower ss. Although I do like the movement that you've freezed here. Contrast and brightness look fine to me

thanks folks for your comments! just remember, this was part of a bigger image area, and cropped by at least 60%. if i had my tripod, or a better way to stabilize the camera other than a snow/ice covered bridge rail, would have definitely tried to slow 'er down. :toast:
