This is an older image, but one that I have always liked.

Any comments or suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks for taking a look.

Thanks

Nice shot. It might have been better if you could have moved to avoid the branches behind the antlers, but I know this is not always possible.

Nice headturn on this bull elk. You didn't include any camera info so hard to know if you could have reduced the DOF and blurred the background more or not.

Good picture, Mike. I agree with Sally, I would like to see camera data and also a larger image if you could. That always gives you more detail. Thanks for shareing.

This is a pleasing, relaxed pose. Only thing I can see is that perhaps a very slight increase in warmth/brightness of the main subject might make it even better.

Hi Mike,

Nice head turn and a very nice subject. I like your general composition here tho' I think placing the elk slightly more to the right might work better to me (or, if there's room cropped off the left side of the frame, bringing a little of that back). You didn't have the greatest light to work with, but I think Lon's suggestion of warming up the image (by just a bit) will make a big difference. It would be nice if the background was a little "cleaner" but as John mentioned this is often easier said than done...

Cheers...thanks for sharing this...

Brad
