Sony A700
Minolta 200mm macro
ISO 200, 1/40 @ f11

Taken at the Butchart Gardens in Victoria on our trip this summer. Played around with high key and some vignetting and really liked the aggregate effect. I think I Ortonized this a bit as well. All comments welcome.>=))>

Beautiful, Bill. I think the orton treatment made this look dreamy. I like the soft pink outlines on the petals and the yellow center is so pretty. I alos like how the petals fade into whiteness. Nicely done.

Yeah, I like the effect too Bill. Intense... gorgeous... Masterful processing as well.

Bill, Butchart Gardens is one of my favorite botanical gardens, only problem, not enough time to see everything! I like the effect here, Bill. Great work! :toast:

The larger photo really shows the clarity of those little yellow darlin's Bill. Interesting presentation with the high key vignetting, but I think it might be equally strong with full frame petal detail. After all, the image is beautiful. JMTCW :toast:

Love the softness of this, Bill, and the fading out of the whites at the top and bottom - it all brings out the feel of this flower beautifully. An image with a mood to it.

You said it, Bill. The very high key vignette is quite eye-catching. Not quite sure I like it, but I like it that you tried it! Everything else is very cool.
