Lupine and Fenceposts

Drizzly and gray morning...still this scene caught my eye.
Nikon N90s, tripod, ASA 100, F8 or F11

PS I had to try several times to get this to within posting size. How exasperating!! Other times...no problem! So there probably is a sharpening issue? It used to be sharp. :frown:

It's a very pretty scene Christine. I understand about the size problem. i usually iterate through mine a couple of times. Landscapes are affected the most of course. In any event, this is beautiful.

Christine, Sharpening is size sensitive. You should always resize your photo to the exact size for display and then apply sharpening. It might come across a bit soft here, but it does look like an impressive scene. We don't get many Lupines here and I am always attracted to their beauty. Well done

Thanks Ram! I know I "played" with it before resizing this time. Hopefully, I'll remember that for future posts. Thanks again! :wavey:

The posts and lupine make for nice repeating shapes with some added color.

A nice comp, Christine. The lighting seems a bit flat. I'd like to see some "pop" in the colors perhaps. It takes time to learn the sharpening process for the web. Lord knows...we've all had some issue with it over the years.

Despite the issues you mention I think this is a wonderful and lovely Lupine image. :toast: :toast:

Christine: I love the scene, especially the movement of the fence through the frame. Not sure of your processing workflow but I've been using smart sharpen this year and have much preferred it to USM. Of course scenes like this with lots of fine detail are a challenge but using Save for Web and Smart Sharpen I've been much more satisfied with the final results of my images. >=))>
