Winter scribes its mark on every surface of standing water. Unknown markings begin to emerge leaving the mind to be hypnotized by its beauty.
I can literally spend a day with these subjects.

Thanks for your time and comments, they mean so much

Canon 40D

5 sec. @ f14
iso 200

A slightly cooler wb and late evening light produced this rendition.

WOW! This is the coolest intimate ice image I've seen in a LONG time. Absolutely stunning. The frost crystals put this over the top. Such a spectacular natural composition with exquisitely beautiful and intricate textures. Wonderful image! :toast: :toast:

Fantastic. The steel-blue tones and all of the little details to look at make this a pleasure to view.

Anthony,
This is a great image in every respect: the color, shapes, composition. I really like getting out at the beginning of the winter to search for these kinds of images. Good eye.

It's hard to follow up a post like your last. This is very attractive, but it just doesn't break the mold in the way the other did. Still, as I referenced in my most recent blog post, I know that there is much more going on here than I get to experience through the web, and I bet I could sit and look at a print for a long long time.
