Collegiate Clearing

This is one of the few aspen images I liked from shooting the recent fall season in Colorado. It was a challenging year to find good color. This was taken in late-September east of Cottonwood Pass under the shoulder of Mt. Princeton (which is one of the Collegiate Peaks). It was raining that morning, but the clouds cleared just enough to show a little bit of interesting light on them a few minutes after sunrise.
