Dusk at White Sands

Getting ready to return from my Bosque/White Sands tour. Had snow on the dunes that quickly vanished but it did remain very cold. Tons of footprints that had to be avoided as they were frozen on the dunes. Distant views proved to work best. The sky was very nice and dramatic but I felt the pano worked better as it accentuated the cool tones on the dunes.
Canon 1D Mark III with the 28-135mm lens @ 109mm for 1/6 sec at f22 and ISO 200.

This feels more like Antarctica than White Sands. The contrasts are wonderful and so are the shapes. Looking forward to seeing what you get this year.

Really love the feel here. I thought the dunes looked a little soft but I guess that;s the snow on them. I love the color, but the dunes seem just a bit too blue given the color of the sky. Does feel like antarctica rather than the desert sw.

I love the pano crop, and the colors a great. It does look a little soft overall to me though.

That is badass. Great shot w/ the contrast in warmth/color being solid. Light and dunes look wonderful.
Maybe an interesting b/w too

Roman,

Almost looks like this could be of another world. And even though this perspective you can't see the layers and rise/fall of the dunes, this still has an expansive look to it like the dunes go on forever.

Two minor nits. The horizon appears tilted and it also looks a little soft. Fortunately, the softness doesn't hurt the impact this image has. This is a beautiful and almost surreal image.

Look almost like an ocean, very cool Roman. Seems a little dark I think.
