This is probably the sexiest image that I came back with from fall color 2009, though it's not really my favorite. Still, I'm glad I made the image...alongside like 50 other people

Yeah, I'd be happy too! I've been here once. The conditions were nowhere near this good. The color was still early, and a blank clear miday sky. I'd love to have something like this. Wonderful light on the peak. The colors are just right too.

It is a beauty, Laurent. I am really liking the way the bare ground leads me through the scene amongst all the color.

This is gorgeous, Laurent. Those colors are magnificent. I'd be perfectly happy to make an image like this, even if I was standing next to 50 other photographers at the time. Good work, dude!

The thing I like about this image is how the aspens recede into the background. That little tiny creek adds a nice touch also. I like it.

Sadly photographers generally are fast becoming something of a plague in some locations. My solution, when faced with a phalanx of photographers all pointing their lenses in the same direction is usually to slink off and find somewhere quieter.
On the other hand, when faced with a scene like this even I might find it hard to "just say no".

I've been shooting so much wildlife lately, that the first thing that came into my mind when I saw this was 'wouldn't it be great if there was a moose standing in the open patch in the foreground?' And yes, I think that would be very cool indeed, but this shot is good enough to work even without a moose. Well done.

Laurent,
The color's great, but the compositional lines of the intersecting valley are what makes this shot for me.

I also shy away from having the icon or similar shots to someone, but this would probably have me snapping away right next to everyone. Wonderful scenery.

Laurent,
50 you say? I would have never guessed, this just feels like you were the only one there... :-)
Seriously, this is an incredible autumn landscape. I'm sure the other 49 are happy too.
Tiny, but I love the hint of the blue in the stream lower left - adds a nice element to this already gorgeous scene.
Wish I had been there too.
