Sunflower Intruder

A lonely sunflower encroaches on regrowth from a mowed Bluestem grass meadow.

This was a windy morning sunrise. Had to use high ISO for the shutter speed to stop the grasses and sunflower from waving.

The colors, especially the sky, are spectacular! Great peaceful scene. I like the comp; wish that one flower wasnt sitting on the horizon line, but thats a real minor nit. Great Entry!

Stan, you have a good eye.

I honestly had not noticed that horizon flower until you mentioned it but it would have been better elevated or lowered.

I'll get there someday (grins).

Love the colors in the sky. Nice sharp detail, I know it can be a challenge keeping things from blowing around here on the prairie.

Really pretty scene Larry, and the soft colors bring everything together beautifully.
