Scar Face

We located this Male Lion by following the sounds of the most incredible cat fight I've ever heard. We arrived to the edge of an impenetrable thicket just as the commotion ceased and out walked Scar Face, nose bloodied, and his prize lioness. We never did see the loser leave.
This is from my early digital files so I'm aware of some of the technical issues of not being shot in raw.

All comments are greatly appreciated.
Thanks for looking

Great capture Neil, I can't stop looking at his face, his expression is amazing. He looks weary and a little stunned, with that blank stare into the distance. This is exactly what I consider a great photo, something you just can't take your eyes off of.

Looks a bit like Mohammad Ali after a fight, battered, but always victorious. Must have been awesome to even hear that fight Neil. Nice image, well done. :toast:

Hey Neil,

Holy smokes, that face tells a story! I'd hate to see the other guy. I like the tight crop in this situation. Great shot - just a bit of a shame you weren't shooting it with the knowledge you have today - but what can you do?

Cheers...thanks for sharing this...
