I finally got to go out and shoot something this morning. It wasn't the best sunrise or the greatest photography conditions, but it was nice to get out there. The clarity of the sky and water in this image will probably always remind me of the refreshing, late autumn mornings in here in the Glades.
Shot at Long Pine Key in the Everglades National Park.
I tried this in black and white, but I like the color version better.

Good eye-flow with the underwater reef catching the eye first, then to the trees, back to the left along the shoreline, then up to the clouds!!!
Reflections are always neat.
Good color and line, also.

This is beautiful - belongs in a travel guide, or as a big Everglades poster... something, somewhere.
The vibrant color, crisp detail and sweet light combine for an beautiful image. The reflection is great, but I'm loving what's under the surface too. Great job in allowing both to be seen.
This is fabulous.

I gotta check next time I go by there, but as far as the distortion goes, I think it's the trees. Many of the pines in the Everglades have a lean to them because of all the hurricanes and tropical storms.
It's pretty cool actually... On some of the hiking trails near this area, the trees are completely arched, as if they grew that way. I hope someday I can manage a decent composition to show that.
Not to say that it cant be the lens.
