Moondance

On this evening, I was privy to a most interesting event. I captured cottonwoods cavorting under the moonlight in Colorado.

Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Morris

Excellent!
What a wonderful, crookedy (yet graceful) old grove of trees you found.
They really do appear to be dancing in the moonlight. I like the fact that you were able to get such great detail, too.
One of your best, Morris!

"Well it's a marvelous night for a moondance"

One of my all-time favorite songs. Nicely done, and nicely titled.

Love how the cottonwoods are bending into the image and the nice yellow moon with a blue sky. Nice work.

this is great, morris. as mentioned, the title fits the image like a glove. love these twisted trees and how they bend over each other, like a dance, as you´re title suggests. I guess the moon does the rest. great comp, morris.

Great capture Morris and a fitting title. Nice detail in the trunks and I like the contrast of the branches against the sky. Nice work.

This is awesome, Morris! There seems to be a touch of yellow in the moonlight--im curious how this would look if that were neutralized to pure white. Not sure it would improve things--just curious :wavey:

Morris,

The detail and available light is wonderful on the trunks of the cottonwoods and the blue is wonderful. I don't mind the centered moon, especially since the main story for me is the detail and lighting on the cottonwoods. Well seen and executed.

This is way cool, Morris. The graceful curves of the trees make for fascinating lead in lines to the moon. I really like this peaceful quiet scene.

Hey Morris,

That curved cottonwood really anchors the comp here. Im really enjoying the brightness of the scene. The cottonwoods have that cool branching that almost looks hairy. Its almost as if the trees are embracing the moon. Well put together and a fine image.
