Nice colors and composition; very interesting. Some of the bright areas draw my eye perhaps a bit too much, but otherwise it's quite cool.

Nice colours, but what really strikes me is your comp... reminds me of photos taken from space... if the Amazon was flowing through the Sahara that's probably what it would look like
very cool!

I always wanted a bacterial pool of my own. Nice colors and patterns here.

It looks like an aerial perspective of a river delta. Great colors. Great shot.

Nice abstract Stan, like it but maybe a little off the bottom might work too.

Stan,

A super natural abstract - fantastic color. There's also a nice flow and arrangement of the vibrantly colored elements.

Not sure if this is a nit or worth pointing out, but I'm wondering what to do about the small pebble/stone near the bottom. That's the only thing that really "grounds" this image and tells me it's not a satellite image from space. Not really a distraction, but I just can't decide if I like it or not.

Still, this is great!

Awesome colors and form. This could easily pass as some sort of aerial shot. :toast:

I like the colors and shapes a lot, though I could see going with a square here by cropping the lower third of the frame. The upper 2/3's has all the interesting parts, I think.

Beautiful scene, Stan. At first glance I can't tell if this scene is 3 feet long or 30 miles long. Nice work!

Love it! At first I thought it was an aerial photo! The lines here wonderful and I really love that golden color.

These bacterial pools are truly a worldly wonder and I hope I have the pleasure of visiting them someday soon! I saw your post in Environmental PJ and its unfortunate that people are so destructive to something so beautiful, it erks me in all the wrong ways! I have yet to fathom the careless and destructive nature of the majority of our population, and I don't feel I ever will...

Stan,

Great shot. There are so many ways to go compositionally with this, it's almost like you have two distinct scenes (strong line, bottom; strong texture and color, top). Your particular choice looks good, but I am betting others would, too.

Thanks for posting.

Incredible abstract Stan. Love the color and details. Since several folks suggested crops, I might consider cropping the bottom at a line just above the pebble, to a 4x5 aspect ratio, giving the image an even more abstract feel. Gorgeous as is. Superb work.

Nicely seen and nicely captured. Would love to see what an overhead shot would look like, but that might not be the easiest shot to capture. Got a jetpack lying around?
