Winter Solitude

This was taken last Saturday morning in Jasper. Snow covered everything and there was a quiet mood that I hoped to capture with this photograph. One may also see the ghost of the summer season past in this image.

And as usual I look forward to your thoughts. Your comments and critiques are an essential part of my progress as a photographer. And I appreciate it very much.

Will,
I rather like this but, it's hard for me to put my finger on just why. Its probably the blue coloration in the water coupled with the reddish-brown leaves still hanging on. Your exposure seems perfect. I was wondering if you could have had a different vantage point that would angle the bridge through the frame a little more or centered it a little more so that it does not hug the right hand side of the frame. No nit just my idle thoughts. At any rate a very nice image.

The color and mood is almost haunting. I might crop a little of the foreground bridge railing so it's not quite so prominant and give more attention to the beautiful light

I think you've definitely created the mood you were hoping for...well done.

I like what you captured and presented. This has a wonderful feel about portraying the cold and solitude of the moment. Beautfully presented.
