Famous Kansas Falls

Kansas is not blessed with mountains or oceans. I guess we can travel....
We do have the Flint Hills, the largest and best cattle-grazing area in the world.
There are numerous streams in theses hills, and some of these have eroded through limestone rock laid down by primal oceans which once covered the region. Such is this presentation.
Had trouble in blue tint of the water. Finally did a white point on the main fall center. Now it appears slightly red.

C and C appreciated and sought

D700, 30-105 Nikor manual, f/32, 1/15 sec (handheld! while sitting) ISO 200.

nice shot,, Id like to see the flat rocks up at the top darkened some, they look pretty overexposed

Jim, you are correct. That rock was blown. I tried to darken it with NX2. You can see the gray in the center. Possibly a better program or better know how would do a better job. Good observation and taken with the idea I'll do better.

Nice comp. If you want to get rid of blue tint in the water, consider desaturating just blue without altering the color temperature.

Well, its not blue or red--its magenta! I think it would look fine blue...or white  Selective color in CS4 works wonders, but so does anything that allow you to control tint.
I like the comp though, and the exposure look fine to me given the lighting.

Excellent compo Larry. I like the image but the colours confusing me a bit (on my screen a bit over-saturated). But overall very nice presentation. :toast:
