Okay ... here is my submission to the "slightly different take on the Subway" category. It's sort of the inverse of Stan's recent submission.

Canon 16-35mm f/2.8L II

While I really liked the documentary value of Stans image, I like the composition here very much with the enhancement of the curves on the right. The accent of the leaves is a lovely addition. Great shot overall, Jim.

Sweet!! Fantastic comp, definitely different but just as strong as any of the 'classic' comps. The blues seem a little strong to me, but i imagine that is what Auto WB would give you here.
Might as well keep the Subway theme going...

Very sweet image here Jim. I am adding the Subway to my do before I die list. The longer I am on NPN, the list keeps getting longer

This one's real nice, Jim. The colors make it very special, as does the nicely balanced light. Well done!

The comp is both unique to me and exceptionally strong! Lovely colors and light, and great depth.

Lovely photo Jim. The green yellow plants growing "on" the rock are a great element here and quite fascinating. The comp. is really dynamic with the wall on the right and the very off center comp. Excellent work in every respect.

The plants really make this one. I'm not sure I would hang it on my wall, but it is nice to see something different from this location! A very pleasing image for sure!

I like it Jim, very creative and great composition. I like how colors in little plants in the foreground are picked up again in background trees. Saturation is touch strong on the blues like Stan mentioned and also on foreground plants I feel. But overall sweet image Jim, well done.

Jim,

This is an excellent comp - especially the foreground. I think re-processing this image might yield stronger results. I'd like to see more contast in the shadows along the left hand side of the rock and the blues in the shadows (as previously mentioned) look strong. I hope this helps - Michael

Thanks to everyone for your comments and suggestions. I'm still at Zion, and I processed this image on my notebook computer, so I expect it isn't all that it could be at this time. I will certainly reprocess it when I get back home to my calibrated graphics-quality monitor, taking your suggestions into consideration.

I hope you didn't get too caught up in "something different" mode. The light in the Subway tunnel looks like something that should have been taken advantage of.

I agree with the comments about the blues.
