Shades of Fall

We went to SE Missouri over the weekend and the foliage was fabulous! Lots of rusts, ambers, oranges & golds to be found. Except for one day, the weather was overcast and drizzly. I took this shot near the trailhead for the Berryman Trail, where I met my husband to give him more water & snacks during his mountain bike race. The immediate area had some wonderful foliage so had no trouble keeping occupied while he was racing. (BTW, he finished a 56 mile race in 6 hr. 5 min.!!) Please also see larger version.

Comments and/or suggestions always appreciated.

I was just about to comment that this looks a little soft when I decided to peek at the larger version. Ah, jpeg compression - so much fun.

As for the image, I love it! Gorgeous colors and a really well crafted composition. Your images are showing more and more of an "Angela Classen" style. Keep 'em coming!

Nice job Angela, looks like good ole missouri for you. Love the rustic and yellow colors in this, and nice framed. If anything, I might crop out the brighter portion of the sky, just that top piece. Otherwise nice capture

Glad to see you made some time for some landscapes. I love the green log in the foreground leading me in. Nice work.

Looks like this was the hot spot for autumn color this year. The colors and the trunks make for a nice graphic image.
