Fawn Floss

On a quiet walk through the woods I was able to get very close to a pair of fawns. One of them then walked up to the old fence line and began chewing on a barb. I have never witnessed such behavior before and can only assume it relates to teething.

I was able to take several photos with my 180 macro lens, the only one I was carrying. I think these are my only images where wire is truly integral and necessary to the photo.

Great picture, Peter! :toast: It really is wired but that's exactly what makes it more special. The wires are well composed around the face and the shiny dark eyes and nose make the whole image 'alive'.

I like the title, too.

Peter,

Congrats on this. I can't imagine anything better for the theme. And it is a very unusual image, almost disturbing of provoking.

Thanks for all of the nice comments. The EP really means a lot to me.

Now I have to think of a good name for this. I think there is pathos and I want to think of a title that reflects that. Suggestions appreciated!
