Longs Reflects
by Erik Stensland
It has been a very long time since I've posted anything here. This is due to a crazy summer season followed by a very uninspiring autumn. Last night was the first time that beauty again arrested my attention. This is Longs Peak reflecting in Bear Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park just a minute or two after sunset following an afternoon snow storm. As always, comments and suggestions appreciated!

Great work
mountains. The 50/50 split works here with this beautiful reflection. The little
cloud is a nice plus.
Nice to see you posting. What a beautiful reflectionscape. I was going to say initially that I thought this one needs a little contrast up top, but the larger version sure looks great and revisiting the original post, I don't know what I was thinking... :-)
A simple and gorgeous scene; wonderful soft color and great symmetry.

A nit I have, as I sit and look at the image, is that I find that my eyes get stuck near the RHS in the trees. The strong contrast between the sky, dark trees and Thatchtop provides a line that leads me out of the frame. A crop in on the RHS eliminating Thatchtop from the image might help.
FYI: The link you provided is to another image. Looks similar, but there boulders and trees along the bottom of the image. Like that one a lot too.
I hear pink has a calming affect--maybe you could sell this to a prison or something
Seriously, this is one of my favs of your recent stuff
