Although the annual fall colors are just beginning here, I did find a pond where the magic has begun. I will return again later in the week to see what new and wonderful colors have appeared. Thanks to NAD 2009 I was out and about today seeing, among other things, turkeys, geese, ducks, turtles, butterflies, flowers, and a few songbirds... all in a two mile radius and a two hour span. This is not the wilderness but the suburbs, and even here nature is surrounding us if we take the time to look. Journeys out of regular routines searching for nature have great healing powers and I recommend them to all.

Right on about finding nature all around us Patricia. Im thankful for such places and that I can partake in nature's everyday goings on. Great fall scene and the larger version is nice yet might need a dose of sharpening. Great story Patricia :smile:

What a beautiful scene, hard to imagine that it will only get better in the coming days. It is good that sanctuary's like this are available to those who will look. Thanks for sharing this little piece of suburbia. :smile:

Your lucky to get the fall beauty there. We don't see it much here but we get stuff you don't as well so thanks for sharing the joy of fall!

Beautiful colors and composition. This certainly demonstrates you don't have to venture far to find nature's beauty.
