Just back from a week in northern Michigan...the colors were just starting so there were not vast landscapes of color and I had to pick out details. I liked the contrast of the red leaves against the green and brown pine needles... C&C welcome...thx

Nikon d200, 18-200mm @ 135mm
ISO200, 1/15 sec @ f/6.7
tripod and mirror lock-up but it was windy

Looks very nice to me, Reed  . The reds against a patterned green expanse looks just spectacular here.

Great use of line and color in this composition Reed. There's a great sense of balance also. I might suggest cloning out the bright spots in the upper portion between the middle trees with green or yellow.

A great spot, Reed - and a beautifully composed image. The red leaves have the feel of a flight of birds across the woods. Love it !!

Striking presentation and composition Reed. You state that it was windy, which, living in Michigan, I would bet on, especially this summer and fall, but you seem to have been patient and waited for a lull in the breeze or just captured during a slight breeze. Whetting my appetite to head to the UP this coming week!

Nice contrast in this pretty well composed image. The lightning is great, too.
