One of the nicest photos of this species I can recall seeing. I guess a little bit more of a head turn to be perfect, but this is very close. Sharp lens, f8 and iso 100 is a good place to work from. I would just enjoy seeing this species.

What a beautiful looking bird, it must be difficult to hide himself from view. Detail is really sharp in the larger version. Graham

wonderful image here, and you caught that from your truck window ?? LOL really like the light and colors on this one, I also like how the twig enters the image in the lower left corner and leads into the frame, very nice pose here and really like the "unbusy" background too

Beautiful image, Doug. The detail and colors are super. A bit of a head turn might have made this even nicer.

Gorgeous, love everything about it. The nice clear background, the crooked perch, the sharpness, the composition.

An amazing capture, love the colors, detail and the BG that makes the bird pop out. Shots like this are the reason I joined, technically good, and a species I may have not otherwise seen this close.
