Calf Creek Falls

I found the colors and patterns on this wall at Calf Creek Falls to be very attractive. I made other, less abstract photos but this was by far my favorite.

Thanks for having a look and leaving a comment.

Very, very nice Bret. I really like this abstract execution of the oft shot location.

this area looks like photographic gold!
I'm still chewing on the composition, but I love the colors and light.

Looks very nice, Bret. One of my own favs is from this location. When I saw the slice I knew exactly where it was. However, with that said this is truly a very different look from that well known site and I really enjoy the abstract approach here.

This is a very intimate version of Calf Creek Falls Bret. I've never seen it done this way. You can really see the important detail of the moss and water stains on the rock. Very nice work Bret.

I certainly agree on the colors and textures - wonderful. The comp feels a little awkward to me, but that's subjective of course.

I like how the water flow mimics the textures on the right wall. That green really pops and it's a nice addition to the abstract qualities of this one. Beautiful image, Bret!

Sweet! I like how the desert varnish on the right mimics the falls on the left. The green moss or algae is a nice counterpoint to the orangey/red.

Bret,

A very interesting and dynamic composition; I think the horizontal format creates that dynamic from what is a vertical flow. The imbalance adds to that dynamic that I find appealing in this capture. I love the color combination as well. Well seen Bret and a little outside of the box, which is great.
