WC #400 Teton Moon (+repost)

I overslept this morning  and ended up taking this sunrise/moonset photo through my hotel room window at the Jackson Lake Lodge, Grand Teton NP. Better than nothing I suppose, but sure do wish I hadn't overslept, and wish I had a better camera back then, and wish there was world peace...

Carol: Marvelous light on the peaks. The last time I was in the Tetons we had clear skies the entire time. I think I would crop this almost to the top of Grand Teton. Did you get any shots with a longer lens? >=))>

Bummer, but at least your hotel room had a really good view. I'd recommend adjusting the levels in the sky to reduce that brownish haze and give it a bluer, crisper feeling.

I wish that all cars were powered by beer, and that the government mandated microbreweries on every street corner to replace gas stations. One can only dream...
Anyhow, this looks real nice to me Carol; i think a 4X5 crop of the lhs would look nice too, focusiong more attention on the moon and Grand Teton. Im headed up that way next month...hoping for some snow

Thanks for the ideas guys. Here's a different crop and a bluer sky!

Love the repost Carol, but I like both comps. When I was at the Tetons there were fires and I could barely see them through the smoke. I'll just have to go back.

Well ... life is rough sometimes ... sleeping late, waking up and having this scene out your window to start the day.

Honestly, I prefer the original version.

I sure do like the original shot, Carol. I'll have to shed one small tear for you: sleeping late and waking up to this view?! Tragedy!
The repost is excellent, too; very dramatic. Both are perfect keepers, imho.
I was just there and the Tetons were all but obscured by a "controlled burn" in Yellowstone. How sad to have to go back.

OK, I will never ever again complain about oversleeping and waking up to a view like this! Interesting how the votes are split between the original photo and the repost. I'm just as split and can't decide which version I prefer. I definitely like the bluer sky though. I believe the brown cast from the original photo was from a fire that was burning somewhere outside the park. But I'm not complaining
