Alien Eggs

Found these alien eggs, and one split open. Don't remember what happened after that. Woke up a few days later, doc said something had attached to my face but it fell off and I appear to be fine. Feeling great, looking forward to dinner tonight -- spaghetti!

You might feel fine now but I'll bet later you will wish you were dead!

Great shot of Bisti! Got to get there some day!

Fascinating landscape. Reminds me a bit of Goblin Valley. Goblins or aliens, dinner should be special tonight.

The demon llama avatar freaks me out a little.

LOL,LOL...you still there?? Now i guess it is time to look for that tiny worm that showed up. I am not going though, even if I have been looking for my little stray cat for some days now...:):) Great shot, really, the light is delicious. Cheers, Rafael.

Great foreground and monsoon-like New Mexican skies Ian, the Bisti Badlands are an area I'd love to go and now I must go there.

Make sure there is video taken of the dinner scene--might be cool to put it on Youtube, or even NPN!
You got good light here, technicals all look good, a worthy addition to the portfolio. Nothing ground-breaking, not that it has to be. A nice shot of a very cool place!

Nice. I like the interplay of shadow and light from the formations. The hint of a rainbow is a nice touch.

Dude,

Your avatar is really freaking me out!

Oh and the image is pretty awesome. It needs a rainbow, but whattya gonna do?

Dude, there IS a rainbow! A tiny one, but it is there, in the middle of the virga.

What's the matter, not man enough to handle a demon llama death stare?

You'll be wanting Pepto Bismol shortly after eating, but it won't help.
I'm just glad you put the horizon on a third line!
Really cool shot, Ian. Wonderful llama light that shows the texture off beautifully.

Ian,
Very cool & mysterious formations. I really like the light and contrast you've caught. I'm not sure, but that avatar photo appears to be an image of my high school football coach. I hope you got a release or there'll be hell to pay.

By popular request, I had some video shot tonight while eating spaghetti dinner with my peeps . . . you won't believe what happened!

(For the under thirty crowd, or for those who spent the late 70s in a coma, the referece in my description is to the famous chest-burst scene from the movie "Alien". If you faint at the sight of aliens bursting forth from human chests, or if you don't like spaghetti, do not, I repeat, DO NOT, click the link above!)

Ian,

Somewhere we've seen this before... Beautiful scene, beautiful light - a great combo where the light accentuates these unique and fascinating formations.

Lon, I was thinking exactly the same, Where have I seen this before? I think Alion Briot had a silimar image in one of his articles if I am not wrong.

Ian, nice shot and good timing for light as well. How big is the egg at the FG? How wide is the lens?
