Golden Light on Palouse

Another from my recent trip to the Palouse with Kevin. This was the same night as the storm, and the storm forming in the BG is the same one that grazed us on Steptoe.

3 exposures blended by hand using advanced Photoshop tonality targeting and Tony K's luminosity masks

Straight out of heaven. Can't believe that this is a predecessor to a storm. How lovely this looks. The rays of light and the warm colors on beautiful green and yellow fields look fantastic. :toast: :toast:

Doesn't get much better than this. The sunburst, rays of light, clouds, and light on the landscape itself are all terrific. Excellent processing as well. Nice stuff.

Man, you two hit the jackpot on that trip! The light and shadow play is perfect and has a very painting-like quality.

I like your chosen composition, but would also like to see a pano crop, getting rid of the mottled yellow FG hill. Its blotchy-ness doesn't quite fit with the rest of the smooth, rolling hills.

Wow. I need to get there some day soon. What a gorgeous scene and you captured it so well. This is what makes us love nature so much.

This was the trip that keeps on giving Zack, absolutely beautiful light on those hills, and those rays are stunning.

How lucky to be gazing at such a Godly scene ! I would perhaps forget about the camera and just absorb the scenery. Thanks for preserving for us.
