Yep, I agree with you, that foot is hilarious, and the colours are excellent too. And don't be sorry

The foot makes this image, Ron. Fun shot well executed, and nice detail in the larger view.

Another exceptional image of this wary species Ron. The foot is great as is the wide-eyed expression. Excellent color and plumage texture. For me personally I'd give the bird a bit more room on the top - it's posture contributes to the effect that the bittern is being scrunched down by the top of the frame I think.

I like the head room too. Do you congratulate on focus? This is one of the cleanest I have seen. Must have been young. No war wounds on the beak.

Awesome! You've posted a lot of great LB images lately but this is my favorite for the raised foot, I think the repost is a slight improvement. :toast:

Sorry for what? Great shot of the raised foot and I am impressed you found a bittern in the open.

Ron,

I like the comp of the repost better, that little bit of space above the head made the difference for me.

Love that raised foot, the setting, low angle and the bird's expression!

Wow, this is what happens when you get busy and are away for a bit. Thanks so much for the EP. It means a lot and could not have happened without all that I have learned from people here on NPN.
