Perfect Bouquet
by Morris McClung
I had to shoot this bouquet of paintbrush when I found it. I have never seen a more perfect arrangement that was done by nature. The straight line of flowers through the center is quite unusual. And there is a straight line through the top of the cross.
A lot of clutter around it, so I used strong vignetting and a lot of burning to try to isolate the bunch.

26 commentsI like this as posted. Probably my inclination though would be to take the bg darker. That cross just begs to be isolated IMO so I'd be doing everything I could to do that - in my case probably gradient filters, black shadow adjustments and maybe some cloning. The comp and the blooms are both exceptional. The red against the black is spectacular. You can probably tell I'm excited about the image. (smile)
