Nice, soft light and great exposure, Kevin. The red on these woodpeckers is so often over-exposed. The perch is interesting and adds to the image, I think.

Lovely image with excellent detail. My only tiny quibble is not enough contrast between the bird's chest and background, but of course you had no control over this.

Very good detail, nice color and especially good light. I think the cheery warm color palette of the BG and perch tend to work quite well with the bird. Excellent work, Kevin.

Kevin, great perch and comp. I might try to selectively sharpen the head and beak just a little. As far as the reds go, they look okay on my monitor. I would have to see the histogram in the red channel to be sure. Otherwise, the BG is nice and soft and I really like the lighting. Good job! :toast:

Kevin, this is very nice. I like the pose and the perch. The BG color is very nice and works well with the bird IMO. Overall a very pleasing image.

MY, MY, what a stunning photo Kevin!!! The perch is to die for and suits the over all warm ambiance you have captured. If you have any more room at the bottom I personally would enjoy seeing a bit more of that perch and I don't think that a bit more of a vertical presentation would harm the photo. Congrats!!! :toast:
