High Key Anna

The Anna's hummingbirds in my backyard have been one of my favorite subjects the last two years. Here's one from that series that didn't quite make it as an untouched image. I liked the comp but the lighting was awful. To jazz it up I really hiked contrast, going high key on the background and bringing out the colors in the bird and the young oak leaves.
