WC 373 - unexpected find
by Rob Graham
Unfortunately, I wasn't the one who found this deer skull. A friend found it a couple years ago in a creek bed, already cleaned of all flesh. I borrowed it recently for a different project, and had thought to lay in it a local creek to recreate his find. Friday's blizzard changed that, and I laid the skull on this bed of snow/dry grass/leaves instead. 50D, ISO 400, f/8, 1/320, howling winds and horizontal snow :).

8 commentsI like this image a lot! It has a strange kind of beauty about it, even though it represents death. I would suggest cropping a little off the right side to center the skull. Well seen, and perfectly captured!

Stan, thanks but no thanks :). I strongly dislike cold and snow, though this blizzard did present an opportunity for me to try something different.
