Hi all,

I'm new to the organization and posted my first image on the "man and nature" forum today. I'm going to try and get a short portfolio posted in the next few days.

I'm a retired certified old guy, living about 100 miles NE of the Las Vegas Strip on the Arizona/Nevada border.

For several years in southern California, I was a semi-professional photographer specializing in photography for dancers, models, and actresses. I wasn't ever able to make a living at that but I was able to pay for my equipment and travels for a number of years.

Now that I've moved to the desert and travel a fair amount, I've gotten more into wildlife and landscape photography. I've also been making the transition from film to digital over the past couple of years and now shoot with a Canon Xsi with Canon 18-55mm and 55-250mm glass.

I'm hoping my membership will provide considerable feedback to help improve my photographic and wildlife skills.

Nice to meet all of you, also. No Jim, this was taken in Aliak Bay at Aliak Glacier in Kenai Fjords National Monument.
