Calla Curves

Hi all.

Another shot of the calla that I posted recently. I feel as though I have not gotten much lately...I have not had much time to shoot lately either...Unfortunately.

Any and all thoughts appreciated.

Great use of curves to lead the viewer into the scene. Love the colors.

Nathan,

Very elegant and perfectly presented. I spent three hours today on lily shots and got nothing I wanted to keep. I'd have been delighted with this.

I love the color and the excellent focus on the petals. Thanks for sharing

Yeah, not much. Humm ... subtle linear details in the front petal set against the smooth tonal gradiations of the rear petal, use of negative space, "S" curves and soft light ... yeah, not much.

If this is one to feel bad about you need to snap out of it! Very good stuff! :jump:

p.s. how's that for brutally honest ...

Nathan: This is a "Bingo!" for me. The shot of the entire flower was nice but to my mind this is a much more provocative shot. Well composed and superbly captured. >=))>

Nice curves, Nathan. I just just visualize a lighted candle in from of the calla lily and it too would make a great greeting card.

Nathan, sorry I was so "brutally honest" when I responded to this on the Flora forum. Seems I was way off base with my comments.

Congratulations on a well deserved EP this week! :toast:

p.s. I knew it ....
