Brown Bear at Dawn

I took this shot in Finland back in June from a hide deep in a boreal forest. This magical light only lasted for a couple of minutes just as the rising sun started to filter through the trees as photographers we can spend a lifetime waiting for this kind of light and it only happens a few times so I was very lucky to have a beautiful subject in front of me.

That's a beautiful composition Danny. I like how the details are all lost, leaving only the silhouette as a guideline. The lighting is fantastic. Well captured! :toast:

Gorgeous light and colors here, Danny. From where I was sitting (note: Danny joined me on this trip) I didn't get as much backlight, but the low sunlight sure was magical. With less spectacular lighting conditions I'd be bothered by the front and hind leg being attached to each other and the lack of separation of the head, but here I don't mind that at all. Well done! :toast:

Hello Marsel

Thanks for comments, we had such a good time doing the Bears and the light at times was amazing, many thanks to you as well for being such a good host and getting us in the right positions and guiding us throughout you will be highly recommended by myself.
