Aspen Impressions 2

The second in my "blurry trees" series. This time I went for maximum density of tree trunks to create a tapestry of texture and color. Wished I could have captured a bit more sky blue at the top, but it is hard to control precisely what's in the frame with this technique.

Thanks for your impressions of my impression.

5D, 70-200mm f/2.8, 1/4 sec @ f/29, ISO 50, vertical pan in camera, curves, saturation, corner burn.

Blue is a visually heavy color, and it's vibrant here, so I think it holds up against all the aspen yellow at the bottom of the photo. This is beautiful.

Yeah , without the blue, I don't think it would be as effective. Nice abstract.

This is stronger then the first. Its a nice abstract with good colors and textures. The first did have some semblence to 'real' Aspen, however, and you've lost that connection here i think because it is completely abstract. That may or may not be what you intended.

Sean nice affect with this technique, Im guessing as it says you went from top to bottom with the camera movement to achieve the affect? Will be nice to try some of that in the field unless theres an extra trick I need to know before trying it. Very nice image
