WICKED COOL Joe!! It is rare that I react this way to an image but this one is fantastic. The thumbnail in no way does this shot justice - as I am guessing this web presentation does not do the original shot justice. The patterns, colors, and repeating shapes; all broken up by farm buildings here and there is fantastic. I love it!!

Joe,
It Screams "STOCK". Where was this shot from?

Definitely one of the best Palouse images I've seen. I wouldn't call it stock by any means. This can grace the walls of any fine art gallery.

Joe - I'm with Guy on this one - this is a different take on the Palouse than I've seen before. Really lovely.

Just like a water color painting. True art at its best.
Thanks for the view.

Thanks for the comments! Tom, it was made from one of the buttes in the Palouse, Steptoe.

Joe, "perfect" is such a subjective word, so I'll use two, "Exceptional Image"!!

Joe,
This wonderful. Your choice of lens is perfect: it provides the "compression" that gives this image part of its zing. The browns and greens are wonderfully saturated without being overdone.
I agree that this image is beyond "stock". I would be proud to have this on my wall.
ps: I thought you used a Wista 4x5. Do they make a 4x4?
Well seen and very well done,

Ooops. I use the Wista DXII and the Wista VX, both 4x5's.
Thanks.
Joe.
