Cosmos in the Mist

This shot (f/6.3, 1/30sec.) originally had an ugly background (grayish brown wood chips). I was about to ditch it when I decided that the flowers had some merit. I made a selection of the background (selected flowers with color range > inverse) and applied a blue fill layer followed by a radial blur. I'm glad now that I didn't give up on it.

I'm glad you didn't give up on this one. Love the background and it really sets off the cosmos. Just a thought, but how about eliminating the bottom flower and showcasing the exceptional top one?
