Or it is a damselfly?
Got my Tamron 180mm lens a month ago and now I got a hang on macro shots.
Caught in the wild, only natural light used.
180mm macro lens+300D, handheld
ISO 400, F14
Thanks for looking.

Probably the oddest looking bird I've ever seen, Kai.

I am so sorry that I post this in the wrong forum. I meant to do it in "Macro" forum, but apparently by mistake it ends up here.
Is there any chance I can move this one to Macro forum, or am I allowed to delete this photo?
Sorry again,
Kai

LOL, superb photo but is that a blue mountain bird?
I love the detail in this photos.

Beautiful! The blue is wonderful against the green...and super sharp, too. Well done, Kai!

It's a damselfly, Kai. Damsels keep their wings pointed back, while dragons keep them flat to the sides. Also, damsels have those two beady eyes off to each side. Great shot.

As Frank said, a damsel for sure, with a few mites thrown in in (those dark balls under the thorax and abdomen. Super color and detail, well done!

The clean BG and the intense blue are fantastic! The composition is pleasing as well.

Kai,
Excellent shot with super details and a wonderful background. I especially like that you took this in ambient light, good job.
