Frog - a perspective

Gallery: Macro & Close-upPosted July 7, 20081,733 views17 comments
I made this image y'day near a pond. I was trying to emphasize its eyes by choosing a very low angle possible.

Details : Nikon D300, Nikon 200mmf4 Micro, f13, 1/250s, on shoe flash, -0.3EV.

Thanks for your views..

Bravo!!! One of the best and funniest frog pics I know! So simple, but so perfect. I love everything about it, the eyes, the way you can see the paws hanging down, the murky water... just great!!

This is wonderful. It's very strong and simple. You've definitely put the emphasis on the eyes; there's no way not to notice them!

Great! Perfect positioning of the subject in the frame. The eyes are sharp and make a great focal point. :toast:

I'm envious!
I've attempted a few frog photos myself, but the results were ordinary. I appreciate the tone of this image--deep and rich--and those eyes are staring right back at you. I also like that I'm able to see his legs through the water, yet the main focal point is that expressive face. Well done, Ganesh! :jump:
