This is an exerpt from a review I posted on the Puget Systems forum...

"I rarely write reviews, since most items I purchase meet my expectations, and I have not felt the need to do so. In the case of my experience with Puget Systems, I feel compelled to write this review because my expectations were greatly exceeded!

Earlier this year, I began researching for a computer that would meet my need for handling easily very large image files in Photo Shop. I received a recommendation at The Nature Photographers Network photography forum to take a look at Puget Systems computers. I am glad I did!

Like most folks, I have budget constraints, so it was important to me that I obtain the best machine I could afford. I used Puget's online chat and e-mail to ask questions. Each of my e-mail questions was answered in very short order by Wilson Chau, often within minutes. In one case, related to a problem found during testing, I received an e-mail from Wilson after business hours. I asked him if the folks at Puget Systems ever slept?! Wilson did not try to sell me things I did not need, but worked with me to spec a computer that would meet my needs within my budget.

I ordered my Obsidian Workstation-based PC on April 27, 2011. During the testing process, It was discovered that the mother board was causing the system to lock up. What did they do? They replaced the mother board, and retested the entire system! Ruben, Kyle, and Ken left nothing to chance, and although this resulted in a slight delay in shipping my computer, I had a great machine when it arrived as scheduled!

I was a bit surprised at the size of the box when it arrived: It was pretty big! I soon discovered the reason for this. My computer was double boxed, with foam inserts to prevent any movement and to absorb any shock. My new computer looked absolutely flawless!

The computer looks great, inside and out, worked perfectly from the first day, and it is quiet, even under the load of 2+GB, 16-bit image files in Photo Shop CS-5. To say I am impressed by the quality of the build is an understatement!

Puget System's business model; from your website, to sales, to building, testing and customer service and support should be envied by other computer makers. Yes, my computer may have cost a bit more than an equivalent machine from another firm, but my Puget Systems computer is much more than I could have asked for!

Leadership is often marked by the seemingly small things that go unheralded, but never the less contribute to success. Such is the case with Puget Systems.
"

If you are looking for a machine for working with large image files and/or video, I highly recommend that you consider Puget Systems.
