Hi to all,

Do you own a Canon G11?? if so I would like to know your views on this camera as I'm in the market for one.

Many thanks

I've got an S90. Same sensor and it's great in low light. Not DSLR-like but way better than any compact. I struggled between the S90 and G11. I've worn a G9 on my belt as my everyday camera and I really wanted the smaller form factor. But I wish I had the articulated LCD and the flash capability (looks great with a 580ex II powering a bevy of other 580ex IIs with wireless ETTL II or a PocketWezard on top).

If the bulk doesn't bother you, you won't be sorry.

I had the G6 and decided to upgrade to the G11. I love it. It's also considerably smaller than the G6 because of the flatter handgrip on the front. It performs beautifully.

I switched from a G9 to a Panasonic LX3. So far I love it. VG in low light and just a great form/function package. As an old Leica M3 shooter it was a good switch for me. Your mileage may vary....

I also upgraded from a G6 to a G11, and am very glad I did, and am especially glad I waited for this particular model.
Decent MP (not overstuffed), excellent image quality at ISO 800 and lower (finally!), the articulating LCD screen and RAW capture are a few of the reasons why I love this little camera. One other point...I won't own a camera without an optical viewfinder, which the other cameras mentioned here lack. There was no way I would rely upon an LCD screen for shooting in bright sunlight.
