When I was a young boy around the age of 12 my dad and I took up photography. We started from scratch, making our own pinhole camera. We then progressed into 35mm cameras. We developed and processed our own black and white film. This was quite a joyous and magical time for me. Growing up in western Pennsylvania we took pictures of the beauty that surrounded us. My dream was to become a nature photographer. Through a series of circumstances (life) I was unable to pursue my dream. I took a 20 year hiatus. One fine day my dream resurfaced. I bought a Canon Digital Rebel and started shooting again, this time in the digital era. I started reading many books on digital photography and started working with Photoshop. Since then I upgraded to a Canon 40D. While doing a Google search, looking for nature photography sites, I found NaturePhotographers.net. What a find! This site really fueled and inspired me. One of my favorite galleries was Photo Art, moderated by Cindy Mead. Seeing her images motivated me, which led to many different experiments in Photo Art.
