Registration Help

User Name - Select a user name of your choice that will be used to log in. User names may be up to 20 characters in length and must not contain any spaces. Do not use your email address!

Password - Select a password of your choice. Re-enter your password in the "Verify Password" field.

Enter Your Member ID - Enter your 14-digit NPN membership number as supplied in your welcome e-mail.

First and last name - Enter your name. This is what will be displayed when you post images and comments - 16 characters maximum.

Your email address - Enter a valid email address that can be used for retrieving your user name and password should you forget them.

Personal Websites and Services Offered - skip this section for now. It can be completed on your Preferences screen once you have registered and logged in. A link to your preferences screen will be found in any gallery or forum in the green bar near the top of the page (you must be logged in for the greeen bar to appear).

Photo Critique/Discussion Forum Preferences - select the time zone you live in. Check the email boxes as per your preference (we recommend you check both).

Photo Critique Preferences - select default sort order for the photo critique galleries. "Post Date" will sort photos by the date they were originally posted; "Last Reply/Comment Date" will sort them by the date/time of the last comment. These settings can be easily changed later on your Preferences screen.

Discussion Forum Preferences - select default sort order for the discussion forums. "Post Date" will sort topics by the date they were originally posted; "Last Reply/Comment Date" will sort them by the date/time of the last comment. These settings can be easily changed later on your Preferences screen.

Check email notifications for Flagged Topics and forums as per your preference.

Signature Block - These blocks can be used to create a custom "signature field" that will appear with all of your posts;

• The optional "avatar" is a small image that can be included in your signature on the left side. These images must be sized no larger than 48 pixels by 48 pixels and must be no larger than 10KB (JPEG or GIF). NPN members may upload their avatar directly using the browse/upload function; otherwise, use the URL Address field to link to your avatar.
• In the upper left text field, enter any information you wish to include, such as your name, where you live, etc. This information will appear to the right of your avatar. If no avatar is used, this field will appear on the left side of your signature.
• The upper right text field is also optional, and is included in case you whish to display more information. This information will appear on the right side of the signature.
• The bottom field is for including a favorite quote, and will span the avatar and two text fields.

Help with using text style tags for links, bold and/or italicized text can be found here. Your forum signature can be easily changed (or completed) later on your Preferences screen.

Submit Registration Information - Once you have completed the registration, use this button to submit it.
