To get the most out of your membership, we offer the following tips;

• Register to use the NPN forums and galleries, and be sure to enter the 14-digit membership number supplied on the Preferences screen. Additional information on posting in the forums and galleries can be found in the Posting Guidelines.
  
  
• Once you have registered to use the forums and galleries, dive right in and participate! A great way to start is to post your comments on photos. You do not need any special skills or qualifications to do so – read more about this in The Art of Image Critique and More Thoughts on Photo Critique.
  
  
• Introduce yourself! Feel free to post an introduction in the General Discussion Forum like this one. Also, post a photo of yourself in the NPN Photographer Gallery. Become a part of the NPN online community!
  
  
• Take a look at the NPN regional forums. These forums allow those members who live in the same area to get together for some photo outings or any event they wish to organize. A full listing of the regional group websites can be found on the NPN Links page.
  
  
• Communicate! Don’t be shy about emailing other NPN members to ask for their feedback, advice, etc. Use the email icon found in all forum and gallery posts to send a message.
  
  
• Create a portfolio on PhotoPortfolios. This is a great way to get some exposure for your own work and to show your work to other members.
