Welcome to the Nature Photographers Network™! This page will guide you in setting up your member benefits on the NPN and PhotoPortfolios.net web sites.

Online Portfolio

As a NPN member, you are entitled to a 120-image online portfolio on the PhotoPortfolios.net web site. Full instructions on setting up your portfolio can be found on the PhotoPortfolios.net web site - begin with the "Getting Started" link on the right side of the Home page. Please note that separate registrations are required for the PhotoPortfolios and NPN websites.

Nature Image Critique Galleries and Discussion Forums

If you have not previously done so, you must register to post photos, topics and comments in the NPN forums and galleries. A "Help with registration" link is available at the top of the screen. Be sure to enter your 14 digit membership number in the "Enter your Member ID" field to enable all of your benefits.     Click Here to Register

If you are registering for the first time and have entered your 14 digit membership number, you can skip the following "Enabling Image Hosting on exisiting registrations" section.

Updating Exisiting Forum Registrations

If you previously registered to use the NPN forums and galleries before becoming a paid member, you must edit your Preferences to enable your membership benefits;

1. Enter forums and then select the Preferences link in the green navigation bar (Log in if the Preferences link does not appear)
2. Enter your 14-digit member number in the Enter Your Member ID field
3. Click the Submit Registration Information button

You should now have a "browse" button on the Post a Photo screen and be able to post a photo every 48 hours per gallery. If you encounter any difficulty, please contact us at editor@naturephotographers.net.

Tell us about yourself!

We invite all members to post their photo in our new Member Photo Gallery and to tell us a little about yourself. Short of meeting in person, there is no better way of getting to know fellow members of the Nature Photographers Network. We look forward to seeing you there!

Get Your NPN Patch and Field Cards!

Members may order their NPN patch and Field Cards free of charge!

Wear the patch on your favorite hat or vest, and hand out the NPN Field Cards to tell others about the Nature Photographers Network. There is room on the card to print your name and contact information. Click photo on the right to view larger image.

Send a standard No. 10 size (4-1/8 inch by 9-1/2 inch) Self Addressed Stamped Envelope with 1-once postage and your 14-digit NPN membership number to;

    PhotoPortfolios Icon Link

Paid NPN members and PhotoPortfolios subscribers can establish an icon link to their portfolios in the NPN forums and galleries by doing the following;

1. Go to PhotoPortfolios (www.photoportfolios.net). From the main page in the Member Resources section, Manage Portfolio > Log in (if you are not already so) > Edit Your Preferences. On the Edit Your Preferences screen, you will see the following;
   
   

   Direct URL to your portfolio (case-sensitive, only characters A-Z, a-z, 0-9 and _ allowed):
   http://members.photoportfolios.net/

   The box after http://members.photoportfolios.net/ will by default show your log-in name, or the name you changed it to. Record the name in the box or place it on your clipboard.
   
   
2. Enter forums and then select the Preferences link in the green navigation bar (Log in if the Preferences link does not appear). On the Preferences screen, you will see the following;

   http://members.photoportfolios.net/

   By default, the box will be empty on this page. Simply type in the same name that was entered in the box on the PhotoPortfolios screen (or right-click and paste if you placed it on your clipboard) and then click the "Submit Registration Information" button. Your portfolio icon should now appear.

Note - If you change the name in the box at a later date, the portfolio link will only work correctly on all new posts in the forums.
