Since we first went online in April of 2000, our editorial content has changed every month, once a month, just like a traditional printed magazine. In fact, for 42 straight months, the “new issue” of Nature Photographers Online Magazine would be ready for reading on the first of the month like clockwork, including a new “cover page.” Since then, several other nature photography sites have followed in our footsteps and are now doing the same.

Beginning this month, we are breaking with “printed media” tradition and will begin updating our editorial content throughout the month. We will continue to post a new “cover page” at the beginning of every month, and archive all articles by month in our archives section. Each new article listed on our Front Page will include a date stamp to indicate when the article was added. As new content is added to the Front Page, older article listings will moved into our archives section.

Online publishing is changing the way we learn, the way we share, and the way we enjoy our nature photography. Online publishing is dynamic, not bound by printing and physical delivery schedules, so there is no reason to artificially tie our editorial schedule to that of the printed media. Nature Photographers Online Magazine will continue its role as the Internet’s leading nature photography publication with quality content and presentation that you can look forward to throughout the entire month.
